Blackout Cloth
Duvetyne, often referred to as Blackout Cloth or Commando Cloth, is a polyester fabric tightly woven in a strong twill weave. It is fire retardant and 98% opaque.
This material is most commonly used to block out light in theaters or in film/photography and video environments. Its light-blocking properties combined with the soft-brushed matte finish is perfect for these applications as it absorbs light and the soft napped backing reinforces the weave making it great for covering unwanted objects during filming.
Use what the pros use and take your photo and video work to the next level.

Care Instructions | Before cleaning any FR (fire retardant) material, consult with professionals who are knowledgeable with fire retardancy and the cleaning of such treated material. The effectiveness of FR will diminish over time and with cleaning. FR fabric has been chemically treated to help delay flame production and help prevent the spread of fire. This chemical treatment is typically soluble in liquid so FR material should be dry-cleaned with a non-liquid cleaning agent. To remove dust buildup, gently brush the surface with a soft brush. |
